Thank you so much for your kind comments ! ^^ I remember thinking specifically that I wanted to draw something creepy, so to hear that it came through makes me happy. Ah the fish! It's interesting how they balance the dark mood overall, haha. I think in a way I was channeling mushishi.
Its been almost 3 months since I heard or seen a Malay word... for a moment there I thought it was a new English word I haven't heard about... eh heh ^///^
aww, thanks! I wanted to draw this as something creepy, truthfully, but I'm glad it reminds you of Ginko and Tokoyami. I guess they call this reverse effect.
Ah, well things can be beautiful and creepy at the same time, right? The Ginko and Tokoyami are actually creepy when you think about it, since they eat a creature's eye, change their color and then slowly consume them until they have no memory left. After all, 'Tokoyami' means 'Total darkness', right? And total darkness is one of the scariest things ever because of how it represents the unknown. Your fish there also almost looks like a skeleton.
Thank you so much for your lovely comment, the fish scales were initially meant to be fish eyes. I then realized they functioned better as scales, haha.
Oh my, this is so beautiful and creative!
I love the colours and how you've done the fish scales! ♥
Oh haha, you're absolutely welcome! C:
