this is one of the pictures where i didn't actually add texture, though. XD Other than some photoshop filters, i realized that in gif format, the texture is automatically added, and i rather enjoyed the look.

It's really interesting to note that there's still quite a bit of detail in your picture, though that sort of file compression was used. It looks like you didn't lose much, though that speaks of the work you put into it before saving--something I'm fond of seeing browsing your gallery. The shading actually translated very well!

The animation is nice and subtle. I like the colours. Really catches a specific mood. It's peaceful, but kind of melancholic too.
